An easy guide on how to become an early riser

By now you may know the importance of waking up early in the morning. our parents and teachers have on multiple occasions told us the importance of being an early riser.

However, few tell you how can you train yourself to wake up at the crack of dawn.

I’m sure by now you have tried at least once to wake up early. it may have worked for a few days but back on your original routine.

so how exactly do you rise up early? in this blog, we will explore some tips that, if followed correctly, will surely make you an early riser.

Don’t overwhelm yourself

A common mistake a lot of people make is to make drastic changes in their sleep schedule.

If they were previously waking around 1 or 2 pm they would force themselves to directly wake up at 6 in the morning.

This does not help you to wake up early but will only overwhelm you resulting in you giving up easily.

Instead, you should take the chance gradually by waking about half an hour early than your original time.

Do this until you reach your targeted time of waking up. this is much easier and much more effective

Sleep early

If you used to wake up early, then you are probably used to staying up late as well.

You might be watching Netflix or scrolling through Instagram till 2 pm.

This is another bad habit that you need to cut out from your night schedule if you want to wake up early.

If you continue this habit you would surely give up sooner or later.

I recommend closing all sources of light before going to bed and not using any kind of electronics at least one hour before sleep.

If it is hard for you to sleep then you should read a book.

When you feel sleepy, close the lights and directly go to bed.

Hold yourself accountable

This is a great and very effective trick in any kind of job.

Ask someone in your house who also wakes up early to check on you when you must wake up.

If you don’t have someone to check on you, promise to reward yourself if only you wake up early.

Surely anybody can break their bad habits with a bite of chocolate

Keep your alarm clock away from you

If an alarm clock is kept next to you, then you will probably hit the snooze button and get back to sleep again.

Keep your alarm on the other side of the room so you have to walk to close it.

That way you are out of bed and that makes waking up a lot easier.

I recommend keeping a glass of water next to your alarm for you to drink when you wake up. this will really kill out your sleep.

Get out of your bed directly as you wake up.

The last piece of advice I want to give you is to not be lazy.

Do not give your time to talk you off from getting back into sleep.

Don’t think a second time and force yourself into your bathroom.

By the time you get out of the bathroom you are no longer sleepy and have no other option but to stay awake.
